Anna Lane, Assistant to the Dean at Lupton Library, received the Tennessee Library Association (TLA) Support Staff Award at the TLA annual conference, held in Chattanooga in April 2013. She was nominated by Theresa Liedtka, Dean of the Lupton Library, and Virginia Cairns, Head of Reference and Instruction.

Bliss Welch grew up playing soccer and climbing trees, but when she had difficulty climbing the stairs of her family home at 17-years-old, she knew her life was about to change. Her diagnosis of muscular dystrophy didn’t stop her.

Warpinski awarded North Callahan Essay Prize
Joseph Warpinski, an economics major with a dual minor of business administration and history, has won the 2013 North Callahan Essay Prize for his submission “The Overextension of the British Empire and its Subsequent Demise.” Warpinski received a $1,000 cash prize. To read the essay, click here.
