The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga achieved a remarkable fundraising milestone in fiscal year 2025, securing $31.9 million from 7,086 donors. This marks the University’s largest fundraising year apart from years in which the Rollins family made major gifts.
A 4.6% increase from the previous record-setting year bucks national trends and reflects UTC’s growing momentum.

“This success is a testament to the amazing work being done not only by the Advancement team but also our many partners across the campus and community,” said UTC Vice Chancellor for Advancement Kim White. “Philanthropy provides a margin of excellence for our University, and we are grateful for the growing base of supporters who are making a difference for our students, faculty and staff.”
Significant gifts included the Steiner family’s seven-figure commitment to establish a new women’s athletic facility, Max Fuller’s $5 million naming gift for the Max Fuller Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and generous support from Richard Zhang to elevate the Honors College. UTC also celebrated a transformative gift of Raccoon Mountain Caverns.
Mocs Give Day 2024 shattered expectations, raising more than $2.8 million from 2,201 donors—including 688 first-time supporters—and surpassing its goals by 45%. The campaign set records for both the number of donors and dollars raised in a single day.
Alumni engagement also soared to new heights, with 54,441 alums engaged over the year—a 10.6% increase and the highest on record. As UTC builds on this momentum, philanthropy continues to play a vital role in shaping a bright future for the University and the Chattanooga community.
